END OF CHRISTMAS BRUNCH

Hello friends,

Glad to be back in action here on the actual Blog. I've been engaging through social media outlets since Christmas has been a busy season!

Talking about Christmas & New Year, today I enjoyed a delicious "end-of-year" Brunch at Sophie's at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Mall of San Juan.  I must say, the service and culinary explosion didn't disappoint on this visit either. Our server, Victor was on point with all the suggestions; recommend him for an extraordinary service! 

We started with a couple of delightful drinks: the Fashion Martini and a Bloody Mary. They complemented the blue sky and the great day that was starting.

Soon after, we had the server's recommendation for Starters, a Cappuccino of Puerto Rican Mushroom Soup and a Seasonal Fruits And Yogurt Platter; I never thought I would love a mushroom soup so much. The fruity yogurt was so fluffy, cremy and refreshing that it went along perfectly with my Martini.

The Entrees for Brunch were out of this world. We had the Caribbean Lobster Omelette that was exquisite and the sweetly delicious Bananas Fosters French Toast.

To top it all, I oredered our server's final recommendation, the Pearls with Dulce... Wow, it was like a sweet cuscus / rice pudding with a winter land twist; recommend it.

Once again, Sophie's made of my pallet a culinary experience.

DINNER TIME AT SOPHIE'S

During the Christmas Season everyone has the need to go out a night or two for a special dinner date, so yesterday I visited Sophie's Restaurant and once again I LOVED IT!

Who doesn't love to shop & eat at the same time? Well this Restaurant is located at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Mall of San Juan, in Puerto Rico. You can have a very unique service from the store: dining while you shop.

The glamour was at its finest and great service as usual. The chef and staff prepared a Special Holiday Menu; We started with a couple of refreshing beverages from their exquisite cocktail list: Sinful Delight and the Seasonal Martini. For the appetizer we had the crab-cake-like Ottowa Salmon; very good!

For the main dish, we ordered the Holiday Special Pork-Longaniza plate which was accompanied by a yuca and batata purée and we also ordered the Chermoula Spiced Dorado ‘Guanime’.

To finish the exquisite night with a bang, it was OBVIOUS that I was ordering the Brownie Tiramisu Afoga which has a chocolate covered brownie with two flavored ice cream and a tasty shot of expresso coffee on top to melt things down... Wow! It was amazing!

I truly recommend Sophie's; great culinary explosion joined by an outstanding service.

JEANS TUESDAY

The Jeans, the Bow & the Fringes! 

These are a few trendy statements of the season.

You might be getting into the Christmas fever, and with that comes all the cozy and winter-ish outfits, such as the "jean trend". Today I didn't feel the "denim on denim" thing, so I change my attire a little bit, adding an exquisite white blouse from Hip Hop Store, with an elegant bow at the side and a properly cleavage. 

To break with the elegance I wore a pair of ripped jeans from Zara and a gorgeous pair of sassy heels from Galería. The shoes are fantastic, they have the color of this season (green) and a taste of color blocking on the inside (black and royal blue on the front).

I've seen similar looks on magazines ("street style" articles), so I wanted to try it; is very sexy but casual, and perfect for a day full of errands, because hey! nobody wants to look that messy on the daily basis!!!

On the other hand, I also didn't want to look loaded with lots of statements together, and because is the beginning of the week (Tuesday), I made a simple but high pony tail as part of my look and wore a simple horn necklace.

LET'S CELEBRATE

Hi peeps!

Sometimes we feel like celebrating things, so today I'm celebrating life. Tomorrow is Halloween and on Sunday I'll be celebrating life again... my Birthday!

So, I wanted to show you an inspiring look for such a special moment. I'm wearing a beautiful dress with lovely floral details and an elegant cut, starting with a bustier top and ending with a flawless skirt from Tic Tac Boutique. 

To keep the elegance, I wore a chains set from Fucsia. The combination of rose-gold and white blends in perfect harmony with the dress. Chains are currently very trendy, as well as the metal colors I mentioned before are the ones we are hearing a lot about this season.

To finish with my outfit, I put on a nude pair of sexy and classy heels from Frívola. The dress was the main attraction, so I didn't want to interrupt that show-stopping scene. For that reason, I opted from a light match on the shoe game.  

This is a suttle and pretty look for a cocktail event, a birthday or any celebration!

UNDERCOVER NUDE

Hello friends,

As seen on many celebrities and magazines, the color nude has taking all over the latest fashion trends, specially on many shoes and bags styles.

Today, I'm wearing a very relaxing outfit, to paired up with my "nude" element. 

The sassy dress from A Fashion On Line can be worn with medium-height wedges or with metallic sneakers. It all depends on your mood or activity.

To add more color, I wore a short rosary with a matchy-beaded choker, both from Hare Jewelry. This is another trendy piece that you can pull off to express the 90's look... short necklaces and chokers are in.

As I mentioned before, I wanted to integrate some "nudes" to my outfit, so I put on a gorgeous tote bag from Mark, the juvenile line from Avon. That was my accessory statement, this bag is EVERYTHING!!!

Allí pude tener una primicia de las colecciones de Otoño/ Invierno en productos de belleza, perfumería y tratamientos para la piel. Además, ya se andan preparando para las fiestas navideñas, por lo que tu no te puedes quedar atrás.

A mi me encantó la experiencia, todos fueron muy serviciales y me explicaron detalladamente para qué consistía cada producto y si era el correcto para mi tono y consistencia de piel. 

Aún estás a tiempo de ir a buscar tus productos de belleza favoritos. Yo encontré mi delineador de ojos y otro de labios favoritos, además de tantas ofertas y muestras... LO QUERÍA TODO!!!

SEQUINS ON STRIPES

Hi Friends,

It's time to talk about the simpleness of Fall Season.

In many countries, the cold hasn't really set in yet, so I wanted to demonstrate how to look fabulous with sequins, of course adding a pop with the colors of the season and making this a sporty attire with style.

I wore a stripe top with a mix of sequins and a white short with black details on the sides from Hip Hop Store. As you can see, the outfit is very casual and easy to accessorize with matchy statements (in this case). 

For jewelry accessories, I put on a long and elegant necklace from Indigo. The sequins can be kind of heavy on a look, so I wanted to use a piece that didn't grab all the attention. So the black and transparent beads went perfect for the look. 

To end up with my #OOTD, I used a pair of sexy but classy heels from Frívola. It's very important to always have a pair of black and beige heels on your wardrobe, it should be a must have, and these babes are perfect for it.

VLOGIN FEST 2015

Hey Guys!

As promised, here's a recap post dedicated to all the memories of the Vlog In Fest. The first blogger and video vloggers festival of the Caribbean.

Today, I'm still grateful of having the chance to mingle and share table with some of the funniest influencers I've ever met: LeJuan James, Aless Gibaja, Natalia Lugo, Buoy, Daniel El Travieso & Gaby Guezz.

Of course, I was part of the Fashion squad! I had my own booth (Decored by my friends and fabulous Acanthus Events) were I got to received and talked with my lovely Trendoveners who stopped by.  In my spot, I had a fun Photo Booth (FlashBooth PR) where people could send themselves hilarious photo memories and I also had a hairdresser from Blow Salon that made lots of hairstyles to all those who wanted to look gorgeous at the event and stopped by our booth.

I was amazed by all the people who came to see me and expressed their love for my work, some loved the outfits I've been wearing since I started my blog and others loved the way I connect with them on all my social networks.  All in all, it was incredible!!! 

Besides all that love people gave me stopping by my area, we had Giveaway raffles every hour in our booth; people took home some The Trend Oven memories and awesome goodies from our sponsors
(Special thanks to Hawaiian Tropic Puerto Rico,  Avon & Le Macaron).

The mini comedy shows were halarious; people were very excited to meet all their favorite influencers.  I certainly know that all my fellow bloggers were as happy as I was and of course glamorous from head to toes. 

Other pavilions that presented their blogs or platforms were: Foodies, Gamers, different Technology brands, Lifestyle and a super entertaining Kid Zone.

At last, for all of those who asked me during the event...
