FUN AND SHOPS DAY!

Hello Trendoveners,

As I felt a thin ray of light through our cabin window curtain as I woke up on the first day of my vacations; we had arrived at our first Caribbean Island, St. Thomas.

We went to the Cruise Buffet for Breakfast, I think it was the only time I ate there :).  Once done and ready, I packed a little bag with beach essentials and off we went.  Wearing a loose and tropical dress from Daniella's Boutique, which was a very relaxing look, I started the adventure of exploring the island, it's famous shops and delightful places to eat or snack.  I've been to St. Thomas a couple of times before, but every time I seem to find something new that I hadn't seen before.

After going around the island by car a couple of minutes in, we did a pit-stop at the Mountain Top Observatory and Souvenier Store.  From there you could appreciate all of St. Thomas green lands, nearby islands and the wonderful beach of Magens Bay -wow-.

I couldn't believe this awesome sight; it was so amazing for me to be in a place where I could see the Atlantic Ocean in one side and the Caribbean Sea at the other... I have no words to describe how beautiful nature is.

To finish up the island excursion, my family and I decided to have some late lunch at the famous Main Street, Charlotte Amalie, which is St. Thomas Downtown area, known for its picturesque restaurants and shops.

On the way back from a wonderful day, we went back to the Cruise to take a quick shower and continue our tight schedule of activities, dinner and keep getting to know the whole inside of the ship.

If you want to know what we actually did that second night on the ship, stay tuned for the next post which will let you know how fun it was... although with a cocktail on hand everything is more fun!

XOXO,

-KM

CRUISING AWAY • 09/4/16

Hello Friends,

It was that time of the year... Summer Vacation Time! To be more exact, CRUISE VACATION TIME!!! So, we packed our bags and were ready to go! Islands, beaches, pool, nightlife and that classic Mojito with mint leaves.

The cruise I got the privilege to go on is called the Fascination. This cruise took us to 5 islands, including 1 day at sea; starting at St. Thomas and then Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & ending at St. Maarten before heading back to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

So, since I have a lot of stories to tell and show you, I'm going to be posting different articles about this trip in sequence... So you can keep on track of this adventure with me :).

For this first post, I'm showing the cool areas of the ship and what I wore to start traveling through the Caribbean.

On a side note, I have to thank all my beautiful "trendoveners" who gave me lots of tips and advises for this trip via my Snapchat and Instagram accounts: @thetrendoven . You guys rock!!! <3

Back to the subject of what I wore: I decided to get in something comfortable and easy to travel with since that first day was for settling and exploring the port and cruise. My look was basically an effortless practical outfit: a pair of jeans, a gorgeous blouse from Daniella's Boutique & Novus Oxford style sneakers. Let me tell you, it worked out perfectly! ;)

I was really feeling the night breeze when we left port in my off-shoulder blouse. The stars lit up the night and the moon reflected on the ocean, that's when I realized our adventure / vacation was really taking off after a stressful work week; it felt so deserving... I even ordered another Mojito!

It had been a busy day, so I went to get some beauty sleep and thought about what was awaiting for us tomorrow morning... Stay tuned to find out! ;)

Nighty night! Xoxo
